Project Slump

Once again the "slump" is hitting.
At one point in every project, I seem to get to THAT point and I seem to lose my mojo. At the moment, I am 23 squares into the first wide panel of Chey's Blanket.  I have another 10 to go and that panel is done - bar the tail tucking that is, and I don't mind admitting that I am struggling to motive myself to continue.

So many more projects, that I HAVE to do :) It's hard, but I will get there.

Chey's Blanket - Pattern Testing

This is a very exciting pattern, which I have been asked to pattern test.
Created by Sue Knight, a facebook friend after many, many, many shares and 100's of likers, Sue was convinced to put pen to paper and come up with a pattern.
Sue has put many hours into creating the pattern and it's now at the special stage of getting testing.  I'm sure Sue will release the pattern soon.

As like the Babette  (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/babette-blanket ) Chey's Blanket will consist of many granny squares, but it has a little twist.  Diamonds.

Using a 4.5mm hook and 8ply acrylic, I started with the purchase of yarn.  I wanted to use the dark purple and lemon I had in my stash box.  So I went to spotlight on a shopping spree.  I purchased some Dark Green, Lime Green, Light Purple, & Rose Pink.

Spotlight certainly had bare shelves once I went shopping :)

Chey's blanket consists of 7 sections
1 - Centre Panel
2 - Diamond Strips
2 - Wide Panels
2 - Narrow Panels

2 -  Diamond Stripes

2 - Wide & 2 - Narrow panels that consist of many squares, each with many tails to tuck in.

So far I have completed the Centre Panel, Diamond Panels and started all the other squares.  Stay tuned :)

only 10 squares to completion of the first wide panels.  TAILS, TAILS, TAILS.  Someone help!!!

Rainbow Blanket - Works In Progress

Ever feel like you never get anything finished.  Well that is me.  I love large projects but they take so much time that by mid way through my mind starts to wonder into new project land.
Currently I have on my trusty 4.5mm crochet hook 2 Rainbow Blankets.  These are in ALF colours, but BOTH have been put on the back burner.

This one is my North Melbourne (or my local football team Girgarre Kangaroos), I changed the pattern a little to add a twist. The pattern only has the centre Granny and the 2 rounds of stripes, I change the direction again on a 3rd round of stripes and made it bigger.  I've got this finished to about 95%, all that is left to do is tail tuck & a simple sc border.  So close yet so far.

This is another WIP but because this is a Christmas present it's been put on the back, back burner.  I started this, then the North Melbourne on and now both of those are waiting for completion so I can finished the newest project - CHEY'S BLANKET. A beautiful blanket very simpler to the magical Babette Blanket, of which I have been asked to pattern test.

but just in case you all wonder if I actually do finish these Rainbow blankets, here is one I have finished :)
